We finally got around to making Paella this year. We had Paella at least a dozen times last summer and it was awesome. Somehow, Paella, got side swiped by…oh guess what….steaks, steak and steak. Ok and pizza too. We got some great seafood from Staff of Life (best option for local seafood in SC). Baby Octopus, squid, escolar, clams and something we have never seen in the market locally before…spot prawns. We also used scallions, tomatoes and peppers from the garden. mixed in with Jon’s secret spices 😉 We cook the Paella in a Paella pan on the BBQ with the lid on. It takes a while but is totally worth it. It was also accompanied by a fantastic watermelon, feta and basil salad and a homemade apple pie from Joe and Mikalas apples. Your totally missing out.
